Yonkers sits at the edge of the city — part suburb, part Hudson Valley, with a character distinct from either. I’ve painted residential streets here, park edges, landscape views that don’t quite look like New York and don’t quite look like anywhere else. The parks of the northern Bronx are just south: Van Cortlandt Park.
