Van Cortlandt Park
I came to Van Cortlandt Park as a volunteer in 2020. The next year I was a seasonal field assistant; in 2022 I worked on the park’s thirty-plot forest study; since 2023 I’ve coordinated its volunteers — invasive removal, native planting, habitat restoration, ten to forty people at a time. These paintings are from the same ground. The Tibbetts Brook work is just south: Daylighting Tibbetts Brook.
