Description
I painted this blazing red tree in Prospect Park after Superstorm Sandy swept through Brooklyn. Standing alone in the Neathermead, this tree’s vibrant resilience against the muted autumn landscape struck me as a powerful symbol of endurance.
The original painting was first exhibited in London before finding its home in a private Brooklyn collection. Now, I’m sharing this moment through a limited series of only 30 prints.
This is print #_7 of the edition. I personally sign, date, and number each one along the white border. For these prints, I use Epson Surecolor archival ink on textured Canson Infinity Aquarelle Rag paper (240gsm) that beautifully captures the deep reds and ambient light of the original.
The 8.5″x11″ print includes a .5″ white border that frames the image and provides space for my signature. The actual image area is approximately 7.5″x10″. I ship each print flat in eco-friendly packaging to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
This tree became something of a landmark for me during my walks through Prospect Park after the storm – a reminder of how beauty persists even after tremendous change.
