Description
I painted this colorful scene at the corner of Parkside and Ocean Avenue after being struck by the energy and movement at this vibrant Brooklyn intersection. The way the light plays across the buildings in Prospect Lefferts Gardens creates a rhythm that I wanted to capture in my brushwork and color choices.
This is print #3 from a limited edition of only 30. I personally sign, date, and number each one along the white border. For these prints, I use Epson Surecolor inks on textured Canson Infinity Aquarelle Rag Fine Art Paper that beautifully preserves the depth and vibrancy of my original oil painting.
The full paper measures 8.5″x11″ with a .5″ white border framing the 10″x7.5″ image. This provides a clean presentation while giving you flexibility for framing. I ship each print in an archival plastic sleeve with foam backing to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
What draws me to scenes like this is how they capture everyday Brooklyn life – the blend of historic architecture, neighborhood character, and the constant flow of people that make this corner feel so alive. This intersection has its own personality that changes with the seasons and time of day, and I’ve tried to convey that energy in this painting.
