Description
I painted this scene after walking down the second block of Midwood Street countless times when I lived in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. There’s something special about these tree-lined streets and vibrant brownstones that captures the true character of Brooklyn – the quiet moments that unfold every day against the backdrop of these historic buildings.
This is print #13 (2020) 8.5″x11″ from a strictly limited edition of 30. I personally sign, date, and number each one along the white border. For these prints, I use Epson Archival Surecolor inks on textured Aquarelle paper that beautifully preserves the richness and depth of my original oil painting.
The image measures 7.5″x10″ with a .5″ white border, making the total size 8.5″x11″ – perfect for standard framing. I ship each print flat in a sturdy cardboard mailer with an archival plastic sleeve to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
What draws me to scenes like this is finding beauty in the everyday moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Having lived on these streets, I wanted to capture not just the architecture, but the feeling of belonging that comes from knowing a neighborhood intimately – the way the light changes throughout the day, how the trees frame the buildings, and the sense of history that permeates every corner.
This print is currently priced at $35 (for prints #1-15). As the edition sells out, prices will increase, so this is an opportunity to add this piece to your collection at its current value.
The larger print is an earlier edition.
